Prices and estimates
Prices on this site are 2026 ranges for Ocala and Marion County so you can budget. The price you pay for a repair is the one the technician quotes on site before any work starts; the price for a new door or opener is the written, itemized estimate you receive, good for the period stated on it (normally 30 days). An estimate is not a contract until you approve it.
Who does the work
Garage door work arranged through this site is performed by independent technicians and installers carrying general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Florida does not license garage door repair at the state level. New-door installations requiring a building permit are performed under a City of Ocala or Marion County permit by an installer holding the Marion County garage door competency card, with the inspection the permit requires.
Permits, approvals and ratings
We identify which authority, if any, must permit your project and file the permit; permit costs are shown as their own line. We submit to your HOA or community development district's architectural committee where one applies. The design pressure a new door must meet is set by the Florida Building Code for your address and confirmed on the permit; the door's Florida Product Approval and label are the record of its rating. The current code, the reviewing agency and your community's governing documents are the final word.
Payment
Repairs are paid on completion by card, check or bank transfer. New doors may require a deposit when a custom door is ordered, as stated on the estimate; the balance is due on completion.
Safety
Garage door springs and cables are under extreme tension. Nothing on this site is an instruction to adjust, remove or replace springs, cables or drums, and we accept no responsibility for injury or damage from attempts to do so.
Website
The content on this site is general information about garage doors and the rules that apply to them in Ocala and Marion County. It is not an engineering opinion, a wind-load determination, legal advice or a permit determination for your property. Codes, fees, program rules and policies change; the City's, the County's and the state's current documents govern.
